About Shai Drori
I’m Shai Drori, a recording engineer and audiovisual preservation specialist working with archival collections since 1997. I digitize audio and video recordings and scan motion-picture film, with particular expertise in obsolete formats, deteriorated media and recordings that are difficult to play.
My work combines careful preparation, suitable playback equipment and the technical judgment each recording requires. I work directly with archives, institutions and private collectors, both at my facility and on-site.

Every collection presents different challenges. I assess the formats and condition of the recordings, determine what preparation and playback they need, and discuss your options. From straightforward digitization to difficult recovery work, I tailor the approach to the media, your goals and your budget, helping you set priorities and plan the work in stages when needed.
